Fossil Creek - Strawberry, AZ

The Venture crew headed to Strawberry, AZ on October 7th to Fossil Creek. We stayed at the Williams cabin overnight where we played ping pong and air hockey. We were able to celebrate Bro. Olivias birthday with a cake before we called it a night. He was a good sport as the boys thought it would be perfect for him to sport a tiara on his special night.
It got down to 32 degrees that night where we than woke up to get ready to head to the trail. We cooked some delicious breakfast burritos at the cabin and than packed our day packs to jump in the car. We headed to the trail head and started hiking at 9am.We made it down to the top of the spring and the boys were able to see all the water that pumps out of the side of the mountain like a natural irrigation pipe. At the top of the spring we tossed some rocks before moving down the creek toward the old dam. We were able to cross to the other side of the creek where the other natural spring was gushing out over a large tree to help keep dry. We made it to the old dam and were able to get down the large water hole where we went swimming and found a small cave behind the water fall. We ate lunch down at the dam and than worked our way back up the creek. Everyone did great hiking up the 4 mile trail.
